Competitive Gymnastics

Piako Gymnastics Club offer Woman's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Competitive STEP's programme, these gymnasts compete in local and regional competitions throughout terms 2 & 3.  This programme is invitation only.

Term 4 2023 - Competitive Teams Training Times

Te Aroha:

Step 1:  4 hours  Tuesday 3.30-5.30pm Friday 3.30pm-5.30pm

Step 2:  5 hours  Tuesday Friday 3.30-6pm

WAG Comp Squad:  4 hours  Tuesday 5.30-7.30pm Friday 5-7pm 

Steps 4, 5, 6 & 7:  6 1/2 hours  Tuesday 4-7.30pm Friday 4-7pm

Morrinsville:

Pre-Comp: 1 1/2 hours Wednesday 5.30-7pm

Step 1:  4 hours Tuesday 4.30-6.30pm Friday 4.30-6.30pm

Step 2:  4 hours  Wednesday 5.30-7.30pm Friday 4.30-6.30pm

Step 3:  5 hours  Tuesday 5-6.30pm  Wednesday 5.30-7pm  Friday 4.30-6.30pm  

Step 4:  6 1/2 hours Monday 5.30-7.30pm  Tuesday 4.30-7pm  Friday 4.30-6.30pm

Piako Gymnastics Club Competitive Fees 

Term Fee:  

The Term fee will vary depending on the number of weeks in the term and the hours training each week.  

GNZ Affiliation Fee:   $25.00 per term   

This is the membership fee to Gymnastics New Zealand.

Uniform Hire Fee:  $30 in terms 2 & 3 

Gymnasts hire a leotard and jacket from the club each season.  They provide their own shorts, tights or track pants. In addition they are encouraged to purchase a club backpack.

Competition Entry Fees:   $90-$100 per event

Gymnasts attend 5-6 competitions per year throughout Terms 2 and 3.  The entry fee will vary across events.
